Dr. Pettersen is a Naturopathic Medical Doctor and the Medical Director at Scottsdale Acupuncture. She received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon in 1998. She is licensed in Arizona to practice primary care medicine with specialization in Natural Therapeutics. 

Dr. Pettersen’s practice exemplifies a holistic approach to patient care through a variety of modalities including Frequency Specific Microcurrent, European Drainage, Clinical Nutrition, Botanical Medicine, I.V. Therapy, Homeopathy, Functional Medicine, Ortho-Bionomy and mind-body techniques. She is also a Certified Hypnotherapist, Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner and Low Dose Allergy (LDA) Certified.

Over the last 2 decades, Dr. Pettersen has worked with many NFL, NHL, NBA athletes to keep them healthy for their sport as well as throughout their retirement. Working alongside the best strength coaches in the business, she has acquired knowledge to support optimal exercise, diet, nutrition and physical therapies. Dr. Pettersen believes that replenishing the body today ensures a better game tomorrow. She is inspired by their strength, talent and dedication to their sport.
